TURKISH WATER pipe lines stretching from the mainland to occupied Cyprus have reached the halfway stage.
According to Birol Cinar - the Project Manager of Turkey’s State Water Affairs Department, 53 percent of the water pipe lines have been completed.
That equates to 42,1km from the total 80km of planned pipelines.
He said pipes are laid daily, except the occasional delays due to weather conditions.
Cinar reiterated that their aim is the water to arrive by "July 20”.
