A modern society governed by the rule of law and its leaders are elected to control the affairs of appointing rectors for a certain period of time stipulated in the society or organization constitution guarding its operation in TRNC Universities, But such is not the case in Eastern Mediterranean University as the Turkish/Cypriot government insist to unseat a new elected rector who won upto 85percent of the vote conducted few weeks ago.
The out going vice Rector is someone known by his words 'If You Want To Succeed and Achieve Your Goals, This Island Cant Stop you'.
According to a source, he said in order to allow the students settle well and get focus in their academy the present Rectorate board has decided to step aside and allow peace to reign but he emphasised more on the right to respect the elections which was conducted few weeks ago by the authority and allow our Vote to count.
