1. * Don’t leave revision to the last minute. Don’t avoid the questions you don’t like or find difficult. Don’t forget there is life beyond exams. Don’t CRAM the night before, you’ll just get stressed and forget it all by the morning!
2. * Do work to a revision timetable, start planning well before your exams begin Do use your study skills, write summary notes, highlighting, revision cards, key words, whatever works for you What routine suits you best? Morning or afternoon? Alone or with a partner? Short bursts or longer sessions?
3. Get the people around you to buy into and support your efforts. Make sure you agree with them times that you will not be disturbed. Get your own quiet space in the house were you can focus on your goals.
4. Check: *Have a good breakfast *Give yourself plenty of time to get to the exam *Make sure you know where the exam is being held *Take everything you need, extra pens, water, tissues…anything else? *Go to the loo!!!
