Hello guys, my name remain as you have it here and a masters graduate of Communication and Media Studies faculty in EMU. In fulfillment of my Masters program, i did a research on interpersonal communication: strategies Nigerian students excogitate to cope in EMU. I personally think for the sake of facts and figures i should share at least the demographics of the survey with you guys so you can at least know the % of some basic statistics of Nigerian Students. This research was done in Fall 2014/2015 session(this semester). As at the time it was done the total number of Nigerian students in EMU was 2327.
1. Male Nigerian students in EMU were presented as (68%) while female were presented as (31.1%)
2.Undergraduate 89.1%, Masters students 9.7% and lastly Ph.D. 1.3%.
3. Christians 74.4%, Muslims 23.4% African traditional religion .8% and atheist .8%
4. Yoruba 29.0%, Igbo 24.4%. Other ethnic groups 22.7%, Hausa’s 21.8% and Igala’s as 2.1%.
